  • Alex: Shaun, I'm haeding to Faya in a few days, how was the campsite area? Which end of Faya is that taken from? -Alex
  • Shaun: Alex, campsite area at Faya was decent (there's only one site if memory serves). We were rained on most of the time, so it was very wet. Campsite is on the South East side of the lake, I believe.
  • Rob: I agree, decent site and very private. Bit of a hike down from the trail just to get to it. Nice little rocky point as can be seen in the photo. I have to say, you are pretty brave heading up there in mid-June, the mosquitoes and blackflies are going to be killer.
  • Alex: The mosquitos were almost completely absent, could be because there were CLOUDS of jumbo dragonflies all over. Couldn't believe our luck with that one. We're heading out to the Highland Trail again this weekend, hopefully they won't be too bad.
  • Alex: Oh and the blackflies, we dealt with them with my trusty electric bug killer (looks like a tennis racket) that thing is AWESOME. It's also great entertainment, as every bug it zaps goes *CRACK* and gives off a big blue spark.
