Red Wings vs. Capitals [0]

The Red Wings take on the Washington Capitals at Joe Louis Arena. This was a great chance to try out some sports photography with the new camera. I quickly found out that a good, fast, low-light lens is required to get anything good.
It took me a good 5 minutes to find some settings that froze the action somewhat, so the first handful of pictures are a bit blurry (although cleaner at ISO 100). I eventually had to bump up to ISO 800 which, unfortunately, makes the pics a bit grainy. The DR is still very good at this speed, though, compared to other digital, and even film, cameras. A little photoshop and they came out alright.
Too bad the Wings got blown out 5-2 by the last-place Caps.
