Kristin and I returned Sunday from a four-day trip to Lake Placid and Saranac Lake in the Adirondack Park area of upstate New York. The area is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by the high peaks of the Adirondack Mountains, with gorgeous rivers, valleys and wetlands. Of course, Lake Placid has twice played host to the Winter Olympic Games (1932 and 1980), and it's easy to see why.
I made a few good photos during the trip and I hope to have them online by week's end. In the meantime, you can check out newly added galleries from my backpacking trip in Algonquin and our trip to Kristin's cottage in The Kawarthas region of Ontario, where we visited Petroglyphs Provincial Park and Warsaw Caves.
