Book orders, Foo Fighters

I received an email yesterday from Rachel James, the editor of 28mm and the forthcoming "28mm: Offline" coffeetable book that I've been included in, letting me know that I can now order copies of the book from a private website. The site includes cover photos, a 2-page preview, and my name (!) in the credits, and I have to say that I think it looks fabulous. From what I've seen of the preview photos Rachel sent out, and the previews on the private site, the other photographers included in the book have put forth some really impressive photos, and I feel privileged to have been included with them. Thank you, Rachel!

I'll let you know as soon as there's a public URL to view the book, and even order a copy if you feel so inclined :)

Also, I managed to weasel my way into the exclusive Foo Fighters show on Thursday night at Lee's Palace. The show was invite- and contest-winner only; all I had to do to get in (besides begging) was to shoot video and stills of the concert from the front of the stage -- what a pity, I know. Chad was also shooting video from the sound board, so hopefully some of my footage wasn't so lousy that it can be included in his stuff. The show, though... wow, the Foos rocked Lee's so hard that I still had partial hearing loss the entire next day. The guys were the consummate rock performers, smoking, chugging beers, swearing, spitting, and still playing a super-tight set with no sign of sloppiness or letting up. There were some other celebs about, including members of Our Lady Peace, Sloan, and Treble Charger. Good times, for sure.

Hopefully I can get permission to put the still photos up here on my site, so stay tuned.
